In 2025, the NBA All-Star game will have an exciting new format. Instead of the traditional East vs. West game, three teams selected by Charles Barkley, Shaquille O'Neal, and Kenny Smith will compete in a mini-tournament for the championship title. The tournament will kick off on Sunday, Feb. 16 at 8 p.m. ET on TNT and truTV, with two semi-finals leading up to a championship final game airing at around 10 p.m. To keep the games fast-paced and exciting, they will be capped at 40 points. This change is likely to prevent a repeat of the high-scoring match from last year. The NBA All-Star Weekend, happening in San Francisco this year, will also feature the celebrity All-Star game where entertainers like Shaboozey, Noah Kahan, and Walker Hayes will showcase their basketball skills. In addition to the tournament, there will be other events throughout the weekend, including the Rising Stars competition on Friday and the dunk and 3-point contest on Saturday. The championship tournament on Sunday will be the highlight of the weekend, promising thrilling basketball action for fans to enjoy.

What channels do I need to watch the NBA All-Star game? This season, the NBA's All-Star Weekend games will air across TNT and truTV. These channels are all available on platforms like DirecTV, Sling, and Hulu + Live TV. Fubo TV carries all of these channels with the exception of TNT/TBS/truTV, which are instead available on Max.
How to watch NBA All-Star Weekend live:While we typically love Fubo for most sports, there's one caveat when subscribing to Fubo specifically for NBA access, and that's the fact that the platform doesn't carry TNT, which will be carrying this weekend's All-Star games on Sunday. Fortunately, you can tune in to TNT, as well as ESPN, ABC, NBA TV and ESPN2 on DirecTV and Hulu with Live TV, which will give you access to all of the weekend's events.
