PBKS secure Shreyas Iyer for a record-breaking INR 26.75 crore

Shreyas Iyer has shattered records by becoming the costliest player in IPL history after being bought by Punjab Kings for a whopping INR 26.75 crore on the opening day of the mega auction in Jeddah. This achievement surpasses the previous record held by Mitchell Starc, who was purchased by Kolkata Knight Riders for INR 24.75 crore at the IPL 2024 auction.

PBKS outbid Delhi Capitals for Shreyas, with both teams needing a captain for this season.
